As he celebrates his 5th birthday, we’ve decided to honor his special day by raising funds for a cause that means the world to us—and to many other French Bulldogs in need: Chicago French Bulldog Rescue (CFBR).

The Need: A Lifeline for French Bulldogs in Crisis

French Bulldogs are a beloved breed, known for their adorable faces, affectionate nature, and playful spirits. Unfortunately, like many purebred dogs, they are also prone to certain health problems that can be expensive to manage. The heart-wrenching reality is that many French Bulldogs are abandoned or surrendered when their owners can no longer afford the high cost of veterinary care—especially when it comes to surgeries and treatments that can run into the thousands of dollars.

Chicago French Bulldog Rescue is an organization dedicated to helping these dogs, often in very poor health, get the medical attention they need to recover and eventually find their forever homes. CFBR is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit, and it relies on donations and the efforts of an incredible team of people to provide life-saving care to French Bulldogs who have been neglected, abandoned, or surrendered. From respiratory issues (which French Bulldogs are especially prone to) to hip problems, to eye issues and even emergency surgeries, these pups often face a long road to recovery. Unfortunately, not all dogs make it, and that is one of the hardest truths CFBR faces. But the ones who do—thanks to the dedication of CFBR volunteers and donors—are given a second chance at a loving home, a chance to live a long, happy life.
